 Hi i am David, a British born photographer who has called the island of Mallorca home for over 20 years. My journey with photography began nearly 50 years ago when I first picked up a box Brownie at the age of 10. From the smell of chemicals in darkroom trays to the clarity of todays digital sensors, photography has been a lifelong passion a way of seeing, connecting, and remembering. Capturing the Spirit of Mallorca.
Mallorca is not just where I live it is what I live. The islands ever changing light, wild coastlines, ancient olive groves, and mountain villages offer endless inspiration. Through landscape photography, I aim to reveal the quieter and more soulful side of the island, moments of stillness, shadow, and sun. I also have a deep fascination with birdlife. Patient observation and long lenses allow me to capture intimate glimpses of the islands rich avian diversity from coastal waders to rare raptors. Whether it is a marsh harrier in flight or a kingfisher mid dive, bird photography keeps me grounded in nature and teaches me the art of stillness and anticipation.
Alongside my work with nature and landscapes, I offer portrait photography including individual, family, and boudoir sessions. These are often some of the most rewarding images to create. I work with natural light and relaxed conversation to draw out authentic and timeless expressions. Every portrait session is a collaboration tailored to reflect the unique personality, emotion, and story of each subject. Whether I am photographing a storm rolling over the Serra de Tramuntana, a goldfinch in the reeds, or the quiet strength in a clients eyes, my goal is always the same to create images that move you to feel, to pause, to remember.
